Kaia is a Traveller

Kaia came to live at Trinity in May she is a rescue from...well I'd rather not say, but she had been kept in a pen since she was a pup and not taken very good care of. She is a very loving and very talkative, her biggest problem is that she never meets a stranger, she likes everyone and has taken several journeys with hiker's on the PCT some travelling North towards Canada and I had to go pick her up in Stehekin, for her it was only a 45 mile trip but for me it was a 100 mile drive to Chelan then a 50 mile boat ride to the far north end of the Lake Chelan. It was very beautiful but I would have rather been going for a couple of days and checking things out not just on a rescue mission.
She has made several friend s on the trail and this week since the high hunt began on the 15th she was gon for 5 days until Wed just before the hunt offically opened. Some of the hunter's that already came back with their deer asked if I was missing a wolf because they had seen her earlier up on trail, when I told him No he explained she had a tag with Trinity on it and I said you mean this one, and he said he had given her jerky up on trail . She has a wunderlust and since I can't go to some of these places physically sh finds someone else to go with but she always comes Home... and Nashaba always is happy to see her return. More later about Kaia's adventures.

Hi Greg, So glad to find your page on the web, Paradise Found, & learning about your beautiful dogs! They've been visiting us at our vacation home on Salal Drive the last few days and we were getting concerned about where they are from. They're wonderful & we've enjoyed hanging out & playing with them. Only after Kaia started gnawing on our dog food binds in the garage did I break down and give her some turkey scraps. Hope this was ok!!

I'm glad to see she's an experienced traveler/explorer & will have no problem finding her way home. Looking forward to seeing her up at Trilogy this winter when we head up on one of our many snowmobile rides.

Happy Holidays,

Kathryn
