Getting Ready For the Snow

Well we've been getting ready for winter around here. This past weekend we had to unclog a log jam that was stopping the water flow into the dam almost and kept shutting us down. Then we had to clean the setteling tanks because of all the sediment and rocks that had almost filled up the middle tank about 80% and that just messes things up the lower tank had about 6 ft of sediment and all, and now you can see the bottom. Things that are usually better done during the summer but they had to be done or this would have been a very weird winter. We've been getting alot of rain almost everyday at least we get some, not alot but enough to bring up the river and creek that run by Trinity. the high hunt is over and this week the regular hunt ends so it should start getting vey quiet until the snow arrives and the snowmobilers start making the 23 mile ride to the trailhead and plenty of places to play in the powder on the way.
We already have an ATV here that we have tracks for and it is fun but because of my shoulder just being a couple of months out of have my rotator cuff repaired it is difficult for me to ride the ATV safely unless is is slow and so I'm getting a Polaris Ranger XP and we are going to try the tracks on it and if they do as well as we believe it will then we will have found the perfect all around year round vehicle for Trinity, which may mean changing several vehicles out. The snow here is very dry and not much moisture so it doesn't pack very well and makes it easy to find holes which can be very hard on knees, it's also not so good on snowmobiles as they have a tendency to not get on top of the snow so there can be alot of digging out, hopefully that is over for now. I haven't updated lately because we had technical difficulties with our satellite modem but yesterday we got that taken care of got new service that is faster and better so we'll see what happens once the snow starts wanting to collect on the satelite dish.

Well that is enough for now but there will be more soon and I hope that each and everyone that finds this finds their own paradise, mine is fantastic. Peace and Blessings to all.
