Help is on the Way
Namaste' and thanks to those who have responded and will be here tomorrow morning, Dave saw my blog and that we needed help and offered to come out tomorrow. What a blessing, it shows that we are not alone no matter where we live. For me it's another lesson in what to do and not do but each one makes me a wiser person. I didn't really know how many people were checking out this blog and am greatful to each of them . Didn't realize so many people like the beauty I see everytime I go outside. Thanks again Dave for stepping up to help. the coffee will be hot when you get here. PARADISE just gets better everyday. So if anyone else was heading this way it's not necessary, but thanks . Today we had enough sun to help pack the deep snow and can at least get between buildings now without snking to your waist. We are always being taken care of if we will just tune in to the Spirit and not fight it, He only wants the best for us. Life is Good!

The snow took it's toll
Well on Sunday evening as we were heading out to the Cascade Quest Sled Dog Race awards banquet we were running along just fine and then there was a pop and we stopped in our tracks literally, so we had a nice 3 mile walk back home and it was really snowing hard about 3-4" in the time it took us to get back. Later that evening when I brought the dish back up for internet access had an email wanting to know where we were because we had some of the people that had been here for the race things in the back. Emailed for belts and friends called and ordered belts for the Ranger and told me they would be in Tues around noon. So we just waited, then Tues afternoon we were told via email that Bob and Mark had headed out this way. By 11pm we still hadn't heard anything,by 11:15 found out that Mark turned back but Bob kept going. he still never showed up here and about 2am the sherrif was notified that he was overdue. Come to find out he made it to the rig and dropped of the belts and turned back because it was so late, but the snowmobile he was riding started bogging down and he went back to the Ranger because he had all his stuff in there to make it through the cold and could get out of the snow, while there he replaced the broken belt and drove the Ranger out got back about 3:30 am. We were told that they were going to be up Wed evening to bring the Ranger up but I would have to take him back to the sled, now worries but instead they left the Ranger where the sled was becasue it got dark on them and they wantd to get back, which I really understand but because of all the snow we have goten since then it isn't possible to walk out to the rig. Not the position I want to be in so I've been putting out a call for any really good snomobile rider that isn't afraid of powder and can get here and take me back to my rig will be rewarded but so far haven't had any takers but know that it will happen when it is supposed to happen. it's been good though because I've been able to read some things that I have been putting off and it's been good. Happiness Is
"Happiness cannot be bought or sold, nor can you give it to a person who has not got it." Definitely one of the truest statements I've ever read. Namaste'

Well they came in racing
AS I mentioned before the Cascade Quest sled dog race came through here on Sat morning but the first didn't arrive until 7:17am for the 12 dog teams, the 6 dog was canceled out here becuse of all the snow we got even though the road was very fast they didn't want to hurt the dogs, especially the 12 dog teams going to Montana for "Race for the Sky" a 350 mi race and another Idatarod qualifier. The 6 dog teams ran lower routes and didn't come to Trinity. We were ready for them but like last year it got canceled this time too much snow. On Sun afternoon after getting everyone else out of here we loaded up the Ranger to head to the awards banquet and it was snowing very heavy at the time but not any worse than some of the stuff I've been in, wee running along just fine and then all of a sudden a pop and we stopped in our tracks, broke a belt drive, so had to walk home gratefully it was only 3 miles from home there was about 2" when we started out but by the time we got home we were tracking through about 4-5" sure made it more difficult. not long after we got home the powerplant went down maybe due to avalanche not sure and the snow continually coming down heavy. Sent out several emails for help and have what we need coming so for now we have hunkered in and enjoying the snow but it needs to pack so we can get around. no big deal right, we now have almost 12' of snow and got almost 30" in 24 hours. that's life in Paradise, you never know what will happen. hope you find your paradise.
