Well they came in racing

AS I mentioned before the Cascade Quest sled dog race came through here on Sat morning but the first didn't arrive until 7:17am for the 12 dog teams, the 6 dog was canceled out here becuse of all the snow we got even though the road was very fast they didn't want to hurt the dogs, especially the 12 dog teams going to Montana for "Race for the Sky" a 350 mi race and another Idatarod qualifier. The 6 dog teams ran lower routes and didn't come to Trinity. We were ready for them but like last year it got canceled this time too much snow. On Sun afternoon after getting everyone else out of here we loaded up the Ranger to head to the awards banquet and it was snowing very heavy at the time but not any worse than some of the stuff I've been in, wee running along just fine and then all of a sudden a pop and we stopped in our tracks, broke a belt drive, so had to walk home gratefully it was only 3 miles from home there was about 2" when we started out but by the time we got home we were tracking through about 4-5" sure made it more difficult. not long after we got home the powerplant went down maybe due to avalanche not sure and the snow continually coming down heavy. Sent out several emails for help and have what we need coming so for now we have hunkered in and enjoying the snow but it needs to pack so we can get around. no big deal right, we now have almost 12' of snow and got almost 30" in 24 hours. that's life in Paradise, you never know what will happen. hope you find your paradise.
