What a Beautiful Day

Well it's spring at Trinity everything is starting to bloom finally and even seeing trees that had been damaged last year by moths are becoming green again with new growth, and no sign of the infestation that we had last year. The hummingbirds are busy buiding their nest and the grosbeaks are loving the salt block as much as the deer. Have had visitors and been taking some great hikes up to the dam and waterfalls and even up the trail to Maude up to the dam, there are many limbs and trees down everywhere across the trails, but we have had the march winds but they showed up in Mayand have been steady since then. Some of the creeks that were flowing last week are already drying up. There was even a red Jeep Cherokee that spent the winter buried under about 15' of snow got the roof crushed brok the windshield and turned the leaf springs upside down, lowering it about 4-5". The kids are enjoying the cooler weather and even the first fawns are being dropped by the doe. IT's a geat day in paradise, hope you find yours too.

Greg and Alaine,

I just wanted to thank you again for your kindness and hospitalty, much appreciated from this weary hiker. Thanks also for the ride into Wenatchee. I may have left my hiking hat in your truck. If you find it, I would appreciate your mailing it to me. My address is :

I hope you two had a wonderful forth. Did you still get to play drums that night? PCT hikers refer to people like you as "Trail Angels" and to acts of kindness as "trail magic". Thanks for being my angels!
Sincerely, Ken
