Not Even Close

Well for those that have been wanting snow or complaining about not enough hasn't been out past Fish Lake towards Trinity lately. It started Sunday night and by 8am Monday we had over 18" of fresh powder and got another 4-6" before 3pm when I went to Leavenworth and found rain there, it continued to rain most of Tues there but at Trinity along with some rain because of the slush still had 12" of new powder when I got home. Just getting home was an experience in itself very deep slush and snow with many mini or small snow slides in several places from about 10 miles north of Fish Lake. Some places had almost 3' of additional snow on the road making it more difficult to get past and it has been snowing steady and heavy most of the day, the landscape here has totally changed and is so beautiful and peaceful. To have so may people around here claiming to be looking for powder to run their sleds in no one has been out to where it is since Sat. whenthere wasn't any but since Sunday no one has ventured out past the Chikamin area except for a couple of sleds but they still only went about another 3-4 miles up the road and turned back. With this amount of snow in such a short time we have almost tripled what we got all last year for snow including the late March snow, I had to raise the gate over 3' just so that I can get in and out without having to dig just to open the gate which I had to do to leave Mon and to get in yesterday evening not how I wanted to end a 3 hour journey. Things you do to live in Paradise, hope you find yours. Namaste
